About John Orr
John Orr is a co-founder and managing partner of Centennial Peaks Capital where he provides transactional advisory services to lower middle market businesses across a broad array of industry sectors. Prior to forming Centennial, John gained extensive mergers and acquisitions, strategic, capitalization and investor relations experience serving in a variety of senior roles at innovative and highly active organizations including Ascent Capital Group, Liberty Media Corporation, and The Quaker Oats Company. John has set strategy and led the execution of acquisition and divestiture plans across diverse industries including telecommunications, media, technology, connected home services and consumer products, successfully completing deals ranging in value from $5 million to $3 billion. These transactions have been strategic in nature and have, among other things, served to broaden product offerings, expand distribution channels and enhance operational scale. John received his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado and holds Series 79 and Series 63 securities licenses. When serving clients John draws on his extensive strategic and transactional experience gained through executive roles across diverse businesses and industries. In his role at Ascent, John repositioned the company from a B2B media services business to a B2C provider of connected home services through the acquisition of multiple in-home services companies. This resulted in a more sustainable, recurring revenue business model. At both Liberty and Quaker John executed numerous successful acquisitions and divestitures, gaining deep transactional experience across industries, geographies and business models. Mr. Orr presently sits, or has formerly sat, on the boards of numerous businesses and charitable and educational organizations. |
